Ben Kochman is an independent journalist, writer and storyteller based in Brooklyn, New York.
He wrote over 1,000 stories in three years on staff at the New York Daily News, where he covered the Bronx courts, City Hall and the NYPD.
Before that, Ben spent a year reporting at The Bronx Times, which appeared on Sundays in The New York Post. You can also find his work in The Brooklyn Paper, Patch and Tufts Magazine.
Ben was once Managing Editor of The Tufts Daily in Medford, Mass., where he helped churn out award-winning daily news from a windowless, often flooded, subterranean shack, which as it turns out prepared him well for life at professional newspapers. He also wrote a column about sandwiches.
